Site Manager
Angel brings five years of experience in education, including three years as a classroom teacher. She has had the privilege of teaching 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade in the Metro Atlanta area as well as experience working as a college prep coordinator for high school seniors. She began tutoring with Growing With Grace Tutoring in 2022 after relocating to Atlanta, GA from Detroit, MI. She obtained her Bachelors in Public Relations from Eastern Michigan University and recently obtained her Masters in Urban Education from Davenport University. She is an advocate for all scholars and believe that each child deserves an equitable education. Through building effective and impactful relationships with students, it can become the impression needed to change their academic world!

Site Manager
With over a decade of experience in education, Michaela is a passionate advocate for student success. She began her career teaching 2nd and 5th grade, where she honed her skills in classroom management and differentiated instruction. Currently, Michaela serves as a school counselor at Duluth High School, providing comprehensive academic, career, and emotional support to students.
Michaela holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Edward Waters University, a Master of Arts in School Counseling from Clark Atlanta University, and an Educational Specialist degree in Professional School Counseling from the University of Georgia.
In addition to her educational expertise, Michaela is a Professionally Licensed Therapist specializing in anxiety and depression. Her unique blend of teaching, counseling, and therapeutic experience allows her to develop tailored strategies for both academic and personal growth.

6th-12th Grade ELA & History
Alexander "Zan" earned his undergraduate degree in History from the University of Georgia in 2010 and obtained a renewable teaching certificate in History for grades 6-12 through the GATAPP program in 2015. Since 2011, he has taught and tutored students in US American History, American Government/Civics, On-Level World History, and AP World History: Modern. He is also skilled in tutoring Humanities subjects (English and Social Studies) for students in grades 5 through 12.
As a tutor, Zan creates a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s unique needs. His goal is to cultivate critical thinking, inspire confidence, and utilize a wide range of teaching strategies and interventions to help students succeed.

6th-12th Math & Science Tutor
Maryam is a Mathematics major and Chemistry minor at Georgia State University with a strong academic background and a passion for helping others succeed. Since 2018, she has gained extensive experience tutoring students in Math and Chemistry, customizing her approach to suit individual learning styles and needs. Maryam’s tutoring philosophy emphasizes building confidence through clear explanations, practical problem-solving, and fostering a deep understanding of concepts. She is dedicated to creating a supportive and encouraging environment that empowers students to reach their academic goals.
